We finally finished the States and Capitals of India unit during this class. Although it was a unit the kids did not enjoy much, we had a great and active participation from the kids while discussing the origins and different languages spoken in the different states of India. Kids were given India map printouts twice and were asked to mark down the states and capitals and neighbouring countries as they were learning. Hoping that the kids might have shared their learning.

So far we have covered the geographical aspect of India and its neighbouring countries. Kids learnt about the water bodies (specially the seas and oceans) around India and which states are connected to these waters. We touched about the rivers a little bit but will be learning more in the future classes. We finished our unit on Festivals celebrated in  from June December and talked about how they celebrated theirs with their family. Not all the kids were able to share their celebrations till now but everyone will get their chance eventually.

We will be moving on to our next unit about Arts in India and look forward to the kids reaction to this unit. After the break we will be starting our Ramayana unit wherein we will cover the first four kandas of Ramayana.

Thanks for the cooperation!!
