We finished the Ramayana unit and introduced the Republic day state presentation.
We learned a lot about our state Sikkim and each student has been Assigned a topic to research during the winter break. Please check the attached file to see the topics that your child has chosen. Couple of students were absent on this class, they can choose one from the list that are left out. I will Provide all the supplies like Poster board, markers, stickers, glue, etc. I want the kids to bring in the printouts in Color to fix it on to the board.

We need a lot of help from parents, some suggestions from us to all parents of 2A are:
Bring in Display items depicting the art & crafts of Sikkim.
Food samples to share with all Balvihar members.
Dress up in the traditional Sikkim outfits,(you can create your own costume)
Any other ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Aug.26th class:
Since it's a Festival season for us,we started this year class with Festivals of India.
We learned about Four festivals of India - Onam, Ayudha pooja/Saraswathi pooja, Krishna Janmashtami and Makara Sankranthi. I assigned a HW to all students to pick and choose a Festival and write up a short essay on how you celebrate that festival with some pictures on it. The write up can be typed or Hand written with  pictures printed from internet and present it well. Extra point for good effort. Most of them chose one festival and those who were absent can choose from the list. Please see the attached file to check your child's choice.
see you all on Sep.9th.
